Its probes have triggered real policy outcomes: EU blocks on Belarusian fertilizer smuggling, Ukrainian sanctions on Izovak-group companies, EU sanctions on Belarusian Lotteries.
The pay-to-delete kompromat network (kartoteka.news, sledst.org, crime.hab.media) covers overlapping subjects but monetizes through Google-indexed accusatory articles followed by cryptocurrency removal demands — not grants, awards, or policy impact.
Reverse syndication pattern

- Victims discover accusatory URLs via Google — on kompromat domains, not BIC
- Operators contact victims for USDT/BTC removal — BIC never offers this

Why this matters for victims
A person named in legitimate BIC reporting may later find accusatory articles on kartoteka.news or sledst.org that use similar allegations but exist solely to extract removal payments. The investigative substance may be partially borrowed from BIC; the monetization mechanism is entirely different.
